If you love lasagna but not all the work and time it takes, this One Pot Skillet Lasagna is for you! This ultra comforting meal is the perfect combination of pasta, sauce, and meat in one dish!
I love lasagna! I actually love any dish with pasta and sauce, but I have a super loving relationship with lasagna. What I did notice was that despite my families love for lasagna as well, I didn’t have time to make it as much as I (or they) would like. So, here you have it! An extremely easy and creamy one pot lasagna with all the comforting flavors of the traditional dish!

Speaking of one pot meals, they’re my new favorite thing! Less time, less dirty dishes, and the outcome is still as comforting – yes! I hope you’ll watch the blog over the next couple of months because I have many more of these one pot meals coming your way. It’s quickly creeping up on November here in Ohio, and the chill is already in the air. Combine that with work, household chores, and the holidays, these meals will be a welcoming addition to your recipe collection!
HOW DO YOU MAKE SKILLET LASAGNA?
You’ll start by browning your ground beef. If you like sausage in your lasagna, by all means use some sausage, or substitute the ground beef for sausage. Once your ground beef is cooked add your sauce and uncooked pasta. Yes! The pasta is going to cook right in the pasta sauce with the beef and the flavors become incredible! It’s ok to use a jar of store bought pasta sauce for this dish. After all, this is meant to be a quick and easy meal. For those of you who make your own sauce to use a home, even better! When the pasta has cooked and is nice a tender you’ll dollop the ricotta cheese mixture on top and cook for just a bit longer to let it set.
We love to enjoy this dish with a small salad on the side and some Homemade Garlic Bread!
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL THIS SERVE?
This is a hefty recipe and will serve comfortably up to 8 people. In my family – maybe 6! Should you find you have leftovers simply store them in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Things you may need for this recipe:(my affiliate links – see my disclosure page for more details)
- Dutch Oven – Probably one of my favorite things in my kitchen! You’ll find many brands, but for a more cost effective option this has held up extremely well for me!
- Box Grater – I try to avoid buying pre shredded cheese of any kind. You’ll find that shredding your own yields a much smoother consistency.
