So I have to admit that I held off way too long to get an Air Fryer. Now that I actually have one I can say that without a doubt…way too long! I mean let’s face it, if we purchased every new kitchen appliance on the market we wouldn’t have the room for it, or the time! I purchased one for my mom this past Christmas. She has raved about it since then. I’m always on the lookout for new recipes, so of course while I’m searching around on Pinterest I keep seeing new Air Fryer recipes, which then led me to shopping around for one.
Although there are just 3 of us in our home, I decided I did want a larger one over the smaller ones “just in case”. I researched and ended up purchasing the Gourmia 6-Quart Digital Air Fryer. The first day I got it I made some asparagus. It turned out great. Fast forward to today (the very next day🤣) when I had taken out a Pre-Seasoned Pork Loin I purchased a couple weeks back (I had it frozen). I decided to take it out for dinner without the intentions of using the Air Fryer. Mu husband then asks “do you think you could make it in the Air Fryer?” Well sure!
The pork loin I had purchased was already pre-seaoned (as mentioned above), so although I can’t provide any specific recipes I used, I wanted to tell you about the outcome because it’s exciting (or maybe I’m just easily pleased). This specific pork loin I purchased was 19 ounces (1lb 3 oz). I set my Air Fryer to 375 degress and 20 minutes (another thing I liked about the Gourmia Digital Air Fryer is that I can set/change the temps). Keep in mind that while you’re learning how to use your Air Fryer you’ll want to keep an eye on things. The Air Fryer is going to cook much faster than traditional cooking methods!
As you can see it fit right inside my Air Fryer perfectly! After 20 minutes at 375 I went ahead and checked it once…
At that point it was looking good, but I knew it wasn’t completely done in the center, so I kept the temperature the same (375F) and set it for another 10 minutes, then checked again.
It was perfect!
I let it sit for another few minutes and then cut into it. To say I was pleased is an understatement! Before tasting it I could already tell just how juicy and tender it was…and it was!
Now I didn’t even actually give you a “recipe”, so why am I posting this? I’ve seen so many recipes for things like chicken nuggets/tenders, fries, etc. in the Air Fryer. And while I’m sure without a doubt I’ll also make those same things, I wanted to let you all know just how easy it is to try something different! I mean this was really only my second time using this, and to be honest, I haven’t even read the book that came with it!
It was a delicious healthy meal for us because I served it with some rice and green beans, but the most important things – everyone loved it! I’ll definitely be getting a whole lotta use from my Air Fryer, especially this Summer by not having to turn on my oven.
I hope you’ll enjoy what recipes we have coming in the future with the Air Fryer, and if you have some recipe requests, please feel free to email me at [email protected] I’m always happy to try new things and create new dishes to share with you!
