Skip the store-bought ranch seasoning and make your own. This extremely easy recipe uses pantry ingredients readily available and take less than 5 minutes to mix up!
Because who doesn’t love ranch dressing, ranch dip, or ranch flavored anything? We all pick up those little packets of Hudden Valley Ranch mix at the store, but can you make your own and have it taste just the same?
Most of these ingredients you probably have in your pantry already. Dill, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, onion flakes, parsley, salt, and pepper. One not so common ingredients you’ll need is buttermilk powder. You can find buttermilk powder on Amazon, however I easily purchase it at my local grocery store in the same location as other powdered milk and evaporated milk products.
How To Make Homemade Ranch Seasoning
This homemade ranch seasoning uses pantry herbs you may already have at home. Simply mix together the dill, dried chives, garlic powder, onion powder, onion flakes, parsley, salt, and pepper with the buttermilk powder. Buttermilk powder will add a creamy tang to your seasoning mix!
How Long Does Ranch Seasoning Mix Last?
This ranch seasoning mix will last up to 1 year in a tightly sealed container, depending on how fresh your herbs are when you make it. Double the recipe if you typically use a good amount of ranch seasoning for recipes.
